Application procedure
Applications are now being accepted. Places are limited to 20 students per furniture course to reflect the Furniture School’s commitment to:
- providing in-depth tutoring and one-to-one support
- creating a unique, highly successful learning experience
- nurturing talent and encouraging creativity
- developing a woodworking community
If you have any questions please email us or call us to talk through any aspects of the furniture course and answer any questions.
Filling out your application form
Please ensure that you have complied and included all elements outlined below.
Referees
Please provide three referees whom we will contact and request to complete a short form for return within 20 days. Applications will only be considered if a minimum of two responses are received.
Photographs
You should also attach four passport size photographs.

Interview Process
On successful application you will be invited to interview. This is an important opportunity for you to decide whether our Furniture School is right for you. If a visit is not possible, then you can discuss your application with the Principal by telephone at a pre-arranged time. (Visits are Monday to Friday, and Saturday mornings).
Formal Offer
You will receive written notification as to whether or not the school can offer you a place within a few days of your interview. If you accept a place on the course, the offer is normally held open for a month to allow you to complete the formal registration requirements:
- A non-refundable deposit* of £3000 (deducted from the fees due at the start of the course).
- A banker’s letter that confirms you have sufficient funds to cover the tuition fees and living costs.
- A signed copy of the school’s standard contract, (included in registration pack).
*A refund may be considered under very special circumstances.
