American VIP visit

The US Consul General Lisa Vickers popped in recently to meet the seven American students who are on the 2008 professional course.
She says: “This is a wonderful school and I am so pleased to see so many US students studying here.”

Asset to Scotland

 

Iain Gray MSP, who represents East Lothian in the Scottish Parliament was intrigued by Anselm’s politician’s table which he saw during his recent visit to the school.


He says: “The school is a real asset to East Lothian, and a real asset to Scotland too.”

Top prize for student

Josh Miller was recently awarded second prize in the Morgan Furniture Award with his piece 'Curved Corner'. Josh created the piece as one of his projects on the 2007/8 course. The Award is run by the Scottish Furniture Makers Association and the Scottish Forestry Commission in memory of Alan Morgan, a cabinet maker and graduate of the Edinburgh College of Art. Josh has recently started his own furniture making business in East Lothian, Aspect 6 Furniture.
