Stuart Adams Design is a small furniture design and fabrication firm, specializing in contemporary designs built with time tested materials and techniques.
Stuart Adams Lipp, the primary designer and builder has been making furniture since 2000. After graduating from Syracuse University with a degree in business, he entered into an eighteen month long apprenticeship with master furniture maker David Margonelli of Edgecomb, Maine. Upon the completion of his apprenticeship, Stuart attended the Chippendale International School of Furniture for a nine month intensive program, focusing on furniture design, making, and restoration. In 2003 he was offered a position with Steinway & Son's "Pattern Shop", specializing in building custom and Art Case pianos.
Currently, Stuart is a Project Engineer for Steinway & Sons and operates Stuart Adams Design out of his Brooklyn-based studio.
