Greenaway Mosaics LLP are one of the very few specialist workshops still producing Pietra Dura, also sometimes referred to as Florentine Mosaics or “Commesso di Pietre Dure”. Pietra Dura has been well described as “marquetry in stone” or “painting in stone”.
Based in South Northamptonshire, we set out to produce exquisite marble and granite tabletops and panels and other objects inlaid with semi-precious and colourful hardstones. Whilst we particularly enjoy naturalistic designs of animals and flowers, we also offer a bespoke service to our clients to reflect individual tastes in both traditional and modern styles.
