David Cheshire

 

David Cheshire (22) is a psychology graduate from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. David has a long standing relationship with wood because his great-grandfather was a furniture maker and David grew up surrounded by his work. "Almost all the furniture in my family home was made by him" he says. For some time now he has been looking for a creative outlet and so woodworking seemed like a natural next step.

 

He says "this woodworking course stands out from the other woodworking courses I looked at because it is unique. I like the fact that it is so intensive and covers so much ground. It is also ideally situated to allow me to explore Europe in the holidays."

 

David plans to make a jewellery box for his mother during the course and on his return to the US would like to start up his own workshop.
