"Each of Scotland's six cities offers the best of the 21st century in a setting that stretches back hundreds of years."

Furniture school location

The school is in an ideal location, nestling in the heart of the East Lothian countryside yet only a few miles from the centre of Scotland’s vibrant capital city Edinburgh.

There is no shortage of things to do after the school day ends or at weekends.

The nearby village of Gifford has two great pubs, the Goblin Ha’ Hotel and the Tweedale Arms and village holds a number of seasonal events and activities.

The Furniture School sits in an inspiring location at the base of the rolling Lammermuir Hills in East Lothian.

There are over 20 golf courses within half an hour of the School and three within ten minutes. There are good swimming pools at nearby towns, together with facilities for tennis, bowls, football, rugby and hockey and sailing.

The Furniture School is close to the long sandy beaches of the Firth of Forth. A drive of one and a half hours brings you into the Scottish Highlands with its stunning hill walking, climbing and even skiing. And remember, Edinburgh the 'Festival City', with its enticing bars, restaurants and culture, is only half an hour away.
